Join the Revolution!

There's a revolution happening right now, across this country, across the globe. A group of parents who have banded together for support, encouragement, and all-out dragon slaying. The dragon in question? AUTISM. This group of moms (and one dad) all have a story to tell - a story of injury and illness, of complete exhaustion and absolute perseverance, of recovery and healing, and above all else, a story of HOPE. These parents have been helping each other navigate the slippery slopes of all things autism for quite some time - sharing research, various therapies and biomedical interventions, diets, supplements, books, medical tests, IEP meetings - I'll bet my list doesn't even scratch the surface. And now, they are sharing their countless hours of research, their vast knowledge, and their collective stories with the world.

One of the Thinking Moms is my very dear friend and mentor. She has helped me through every struggle and pitfall along Aidan's journey of recovery, and celebrated every triumph. She has been my sounding board, my constant inspiration, and the Mama Bear I most admire. And she single-handedly molded me into a true force of nature at the IEP table. I am so excited to share this project, and I can't wait to see what amazing thing comes next! Love ya, Blaze!

Click on the picture above and visit their website. 'Like' them on facebook, and share their blog posts on your wall. Maybe you don't have a child with special needs - but I'll bet you know someone who does. Someone who might need a little support, maybe a little encouragement, or a reminder to NEVER give up HOPE. Viva la Revolution!

Much love,

  1. Love this new post! I'm so happy you've joined the revolution! You, my amazing Mama Bear of a daughter, have a hope filled story to share. I love you and am so very proud of the devoted Mother you've become!

    1. Thanks Mommy! I had a great teacher! Love you too!

  2. Aidan is beyond beautiful and I am crying at the sight of him holding that sign! THANK YOU ALLIE!!! much love and respect, the rev (a thinking mom!)

    1. Thank you so much! Cool story about that sign - Aidan and I made it to take to his first ZBB show, and he held it up high right in front of the stage. One of Zac's guys took it from us and had the band autograph it after the show. It is now framed and hanging in his room, and is his most prized possession!
I LOVE The Thinking Moms Revolution, and I am happy to help spread the word. Your blog is fantastic, and I now look forward to my daily dose of hope and perspective in my inbox. Please let me know how I can help further your cause, and consider it done. Viva la Revolution!

  3. Allie! "Singlehandedly"!? Girl, you are a force of nature and YOU need to take the credit!!! I have learned just as much from you as you have from me, BELIEVE me!!! Thank you for being you. For me, AND for Aidan!!! Now let's REVOLUTIONIZE this thing! LOVE and HOPE! "Blaze"
