One of the Thinking Moms is my very dear friend and mentor. She has helped me through every struggle and pitfall along Aidan's journey of recovery, and celebrated every triumph. She has been my sounding board, my constant inspiration, and the Mama Bear I most admire. And she single-handedly molded me into a true force of nature at the IEP table. I am so excited to share this project, and I can't wait to see what amazing thing comes next! Love ya, Blaze!

Maybe you don't have a child with special needs - but I'll bet you know someone who does. Someone who might need a little support, maybe a little encouragement, or a reminder to NEVER give up HOPE. Viva la Revolution!

The Thinking Moms’ Revolution
What began as a collective journey
Of stories across the globe
From Autism to recovery, and with whatever happens in between
A tight-knit group of parents were drawn to support each other
Traveling the Autism journey
While learning, identifying, laughing, crying, celebrating – experiencing a full spectrum of life and emotions
Creating a Revolution along the way
Not for the weak
Always with hope in sight
We walk together
And invite you to join us to do the same.
Much love,
Allie
Love this new post! I'm so happy you've joined the revolution! You, my amazing Mama Bear of a daughter, have a hope filled story to share. I love you and am so very proud of the devoted Mother you've become!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mommy! I had a great teacher! Love you too!
DeleteAidan is beyond beautiful and I am crying at the sight of him holding that sign! THANK YOU ALLIE!!! much love and respect, the rev (a thinking mom!)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Cool story about that sign - Aidan and I made it to take to his first ZBB show, and he held it up high right in front of the stage. One of Zac's guys took it from us and had the band autograph it after the show. It is now framed and hanging in his room, and is his most prized possession!
